Mission
We are looking for a passionate City Manager with experience in retail to join our amazing team in Barcelona!
The candidate must have exceptional customer service skills, strong leadership capabilities, and a solid understanding of retail operations. Moreover, the candidate has to demonstrate the ability to maximize sales through strong communication skills, knowledge of the industry, and enthusiasm resulting in increased business performance across multiple points of sale.
The candidate has to be able to provide operational management, coaching, and guidance to store teams, ensuring that brand standards, customer experience, and commercial objectives are consistently achieved throughout the city.
What is more, the candidate will have to achieve budgeted sales plans for the city on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
Under the direction of the Area Manager, you will contribute to the achievement of sales goals and operational excellence across all stores within your scope.
As a true brand ambassador, your main tasks will be the following:
1/ To ensure our customers live a unique The Kooples Experience across all stores:
- Ensure a consistent and elevated customer experience throughout all locations;
- Support store teams in delivering personalized service and expert product knowledge;
- Promote customer loyalty initiatives and guarantee customer satisfaction;
- Monitor customer feedback and implement action plans to continuously improve service standards.
2/ To ensure the development of sales performance across your city:
- Control and optimize performance indicators through sales analysis (Top, Flop, CR, ATV, UPT, etc.);
- Monitor store performance and implement action plans to achieve commercial objectives;
- Manage stock levels, guarantee inventory reliability, and oversee inventory processes;
- Ensure accurate reporting to management (daily, weekly, and monthly reports);
- Manage and optimize operational and trading budgets within your scope.
3/ Manage, motivate, and develop your store teams:
- Participate in recruitment and talent acquisition processes;
- Ensure the successful onboarding and training of new employees and managers;
- Manage sales goals and performance on a daily basis (individual objectives, challenges, incentives, etc.);
- Guarantee the development of employees’ skills through regular assessments, coaching, and succession planning;
- Foster a positive, high-performance culture across all stores.
4/ Ensure the optimal functioning of all points of sale within your city:
- Oversee scheduling, workforce planning, and store organization;
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are implemented according to company guidelines;
- Monitor compliance with operational procedures and brand standards;
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of all stores and proactively address operational challenges;
- Act as the key liaison between headquarters and store teams to ensure effective communication and execution of company initiatives.
Profile
- You have solid experience in retail management, ideally in a multi-store or city management role within the retail or premium/luxury sector.
- You are a field-oriented leader, able to operate across points of sale with strong visibility on day-to-day operations.
- With a strong commercial mindset, you are results-driven and focused on delivering and exceeding sales targets across your city.
- You have a strong analytical approach, with the ability to monitor KPIs
- You are enthusiastic about fashion and retail, with strong product awareness and a solid understanding of market trends and customer expectations.
- You demonstrate excellent communication skills, enabling effective coordination between store teams and head office.
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and comfortable working with retail performance tools and reporting systems.
